My name is Cathryn. I live in Godalming, Surrey in the UK. And, like many people, I haven’t left my town for almost 2 months now.  I guess this is a slightly odd time to start a travel blog.

Why do it?

I love to visit different countries. I love trying different cuisines. I love learning new languages. I love seeing new crafts, architecture, clothing. Hearing new music. Dancing new dances. And so on and so forth.

It struck me that I can still do most of the above from my home through the magic of the “interwebs”.

The plan for this blog is that I am going to move from one country to an adjacent country every fortnight. Throughout that fortnight I will dip into the culture of the country I am “in” and share some of my experiences on this blog.

Expect music links, expect textile artists, expect to see me eating a lot of cheese.

I am curious to see how far from the UK I will get before I am able to leave these shores again in real life.
