We want to narrate your short fiction and essays!

Spoken: A Story Podcast is a new podcast that showcases the short works of unpublished or self-published authors. A new submission will be selected and narrated by Mandi Kaye on each podcast episode.

We’re looking for previously unpublished or self-published short fiction and non-fiction works between 1,500 and 5,000 words. We accept all genres and content types. Explicit content and length exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis. Submission does not guarantee selection; however, you will be notified if your work is selected.

Eloquent Gushing intends to record and publish an audio transcript/performance of your submission. We may also publish it on the web in written form. If we intend to make the Material available in other formats we will notify you first, although we reserve the right to do so freely as noted below in the release.

Author’s Permission & Release Form

As owner of the above-named material,  I hereby grant permission for Eloquent Gushing to record and/or transcribe and reproduce the above-named material (the Material), in any and all forms, for the above-named podcast. I hereby grant, assign, and transfer to Eloquent Gushing a world-wide, perpetual, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use, in whole or in part, all of the rights, including all literary, publicity and property rights, to publish in any media, language or technology now known or later developed, to duplicate, remix, edit or otherwise use and dispose of the recorded Material.

I understand that the Material will not be sold as a stand-alone product without my direct consent. Accordingly, I give Eloquent Gushing the right to use my image, voice, pronouncements, likeness, and my name, and any biographical material submitted by me, in connection with the podcast named above. I understand that Eloquent Gushing may, at its sole discretion, produce presentations or publications based in whole or in part upon the recorded Material, and that such media or transcripts may appear in print, online, or in any manner or media, including but not limited to promoting the podcast or streaming audio program.

I have no right of approval, no claim for compensation, and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based upon invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of or in connection with, any use, alteration, or use in any composite form hereunder.

I warrant that I have the right to enter into this Agreement, that I am not restricted by any commitments to third parties, and that Eloquent Gushing has no financial commitment or obligations to me as a result of this Agreement. I hereby give all clearances, copyright and otherwise, for the use of my name, likeness, image, voice and Material embodied in the podcast. I expressly release and indemnify Eloquent Gushing from any and all claims known and unknown arising out of, or in any way connected with, the above granted uses and representations.
